Obituary for Wanda A Krych (Shafer)
Wanda A. (Shafer) Krych, 68, of Brodheadsville, died Friday, Dec 2 in Lehigh Valley Hospital- Cedar Crest.
Born in East Stroudsburg, she was the daughter of the late Arthur and Emma (Brong) Shafer.
Wanda worked as a housekeeper for Shawnee Inn for many years, and after continued housekeeping for local families throughout the area. She was a hardworking single mother.
She is survived by a son, George D. Tallada of Saylorsburg; a daughter, Tina Marie Zacharias of Scranton; two sisters, Sandy Jacoby and husband John of Nanticoke, Connie Windus and husband Michael of Mountain Home; six grandchildren, Shara, Brett, Lauren, Ryan, Michael, Hayley; a nephew Randy Schafer. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter-in-law Toni Tallada.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, Dec. 9 from the Kresge Funeral Home, 1763 Route 209 Brodheadsville, with Rev. David Felker officiating. A visitation will be held on Friday from 10:00 AM until the time of the service.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 2158 N. Main Ave. Stroudsburg, PA 18360.
