Kresge, owner and supervisor of William H. Kresge Funeral Home, Inc., has been involved in the family funeral business for over 35 years. He is a fourth generation funeral director.

Tom was a 1973 graduate of Pleasant Valley High School and then graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelors Degree in Biology from East Stroudsburg University in 1977. He graduated from the Pittsburgh Institute of Mortuary Science in 1979. He received the John Rebol Award from PIMS for graduating first in his class. He worked for his father, William H. Kresge, in the family business from 1979 until 1984, when he purchased  the business from his father.

Tom and his wife Laura have two children, Sarah and Tommy and two grandchildren, Adelee and Matthew. Tom is a member of Salem United Church of Christ in Gilbert, the Western Pocono Lions Club, the Eastern PA Funeral Directors Association and the PA Funeral Directors Association. His was also a long-time volunteer basketball coach at Pleasant Valley.
